About the Designer: Fulani S. Hart
Fulani’s passions range from Music, Art, and Wildlife which are all evidenced in his work.
Growing up in the 80’s and 90’s in Milwaukee WI, Fulani was heavy in the hip hop and alternative music and art scene. He landed a record deal at age 16 with major label EMI records where he shared the stage with some of the biggest hip hop artists of the time.
It was during this time, as a music artist, that he caught the design bug and developed a passion for clothing. Re-purposing and reconstructing old garments and accessories to perform in helped him create an individual style.
Fulani moved to NYC in 1995, a move that put him amongst fellow artists and aligned him with an energy that would fuel his work. Here he developed as a street, studio and wildlife photographer and took work in various aspects of the fashion industry. As a retail executive for various major fashion labels, he oversaw their US operations for both mens and womens. He subsequently consulted and managed retail sales for multiple brands. This experience eventually led to fashion photography and the launching of his own brand.
